Our Executive Chef has designed an innovative menu selection that offers enticing choices across the spectrum of food styles. All cuisine is carefully prepared using the freshest ingredients. You'll find old favourites presented alongside sophisticated new ones.
Menus can be altered to suit specific national and cultural cuisines, vegetarians and guests with special dietary requirements. Sauces and accompaniments can be adjusted according to taste. Your own selection and additional courses are available at negotiated prices.
We also offer a comprehensive range of beverages to suit your conference, choose from our beverage packages, or if you prefer we can charge selected beverages on a per-consumption basis.
We have a superb range of indoor and outdoor function settings available for private events, as well as The Explorer Bar and Lakeview terrace for those pre-dining drinks, the perfect place to soak in the surrounds, and the spectacular uninterupted views of Lake Te Anau.
MacKinnon Room Restaurant
With spectacular views and sleek interior our renowned MacKinnon Room Restaurant is ideal for that extra special event and occasion. This stylish modern restaurant enjoys expansive views of Lake Te Anau and the Fiordland Ranges. Our creative, contemporary style seasonal dishes designed by our Executive Chef feature the freshest ingredients to delight any palate. A diverse range of New Zealand wines are also on offer. Located on the ground floor, and comfortably seats 130 guests, plus a dance floor. Please note: it is the hotel's main restaurant, over summer it is normally fully booked for evening meals, in the winter it is available by negotiation in the evenings.
MacKinnon Private Room
Furnished to the highest quality, The MacKinnon Private Room, offers groups of up to 40 guests a private food and wine experience. Located within the renowned MacKinnon Room Restaurant, this secluded, intimate private dining room, with its mood lighting creates the perfect ambience for any occasion. Please note: a dance floor and staging for a head table is not able to be placed in this room.
The Explorer Bar and Lakeview Terrace
For a pre-dining drink, or tapas, a light meal or an afternoon tea, The Explorer Bar and Lakeview Terrace is the perfect place to soak in the surrounds, and the spectacular uninterrupted views of Lake Te Anau. As this is our house bar we are unable to offer this as an exclusive venue.
Event Catering
All of our venues can be converted into individual dining areas. Set to the finest, a full course meal can be served either a la carte or buffet style. There are many menu options available, or a menu can be created to suit your needs. Our outstanding food, wine and first class service, combined with spectacular views of Lake Te Anau and the Fiordland Ranges, your guests will definitely be impressed.
Conference Catering
With the well-being of every attendee in mind, we offer innovative well balance meals, and invigorating and healthy break options to guarantee your delegates will be satisfied. Choose from our healthy and energising working breakfasts, a great way to start the day, to our special treats for when taking a break to our delicious working style lunches for that midday lift.
