Welcome to the new look, Distinction Te Anau Hotel and Villas. After 4 months of Stage 2 renovations the Distinction Te Anau Hotel and Villas reopened its doors on 1 September 2009.
Sophisticated, modern and chic the new look Distinction Te Anau Hotel and Villas presents an atmosphere of luxury and indulgence for any discerning traveller, and has never looked better.
Our renowned MacKinnon Room continues to deliver superb Fiordland cuisine, and is complimented with new, superb, modern surroundings. The Explorer Bar has been relocated to a spacious, open room with a view, and is definitely the place to be to enjoy spectacular views of the lake and ranges, and those spectacular sunsets. In the colder months enjoy congregating around the gas fire with a glass of wine and admiring the uninterrupted views.
We welcome our new addition to our event facilities, our elegant, intimate Private MacKinnon Room, furnished to the highest quality and ideal for a dinner or workshop for up to 40 guests.
Our spacious, new, welcoming lobby is a statement itself, with many photographs of the history of the original Te Anau Hotel and the area; notable art by local artists and of course, our friendly professional, hospitable staff.
Currently our next event facility addition, the Lakefront Chapel is running to schedule and we will be offering exclusively to our bride and groom the only lakefront chapel in Te Anau with a view from mid December this year.
It is indeed an exciting time to be in the realm as the new General Manager of this stunning property and be a part of its future.
